Rustic hickory is one of the most interesting wood species. It had great depth and plenty of rustic for everyone. In this particular kitchen he liked lots of rustic, and she did not. So we compromised with more rustic knots and imperfections on the island piece and less on the cabinets.The island boasts a rich deep stain and the cabinets are in its natural form with just a clear coat finish.
