2016 is upon us and trends are always on highlight the first few months of the new year. As I have stated in the past, I love HOUZZ. They have so many resources for both the consumer and the professional. I found this article interesting and of course had my own opinions of what is trending here in the Midwest. In our shop I am continuing to see the color palette of white and gray as the cabinet colors of choice. I have seen some traditional woods, like oak, making a comeback with a twist! No more honey colors, rather bold grays and black stains are being applied, subduing the grain lines with color but giving it the feel of real wood.
Organization is always prominent, but on the up rise in smart technology spaces and utilization of built-in organizers. Keeping the center of the home well run, organized and cutting edge for busy families is where trends are going.
